My Poetry​

​I've been writing poems for as long as I can remember.  I've kept them in a folder and watched it grow.  I've never felt the need to try to publish my poems, as that was never the motive behind their creation.  

I've written them to help tease out my feelings, or when I've felt a particularly strong emotion and needed to lighten the load.  I've never felt the urge to write protest poems, political poems or didactic poems, although I have often enjoyed writing frivolous poems for fun.  Actually, most of my poems are about love; falling in love, being in love, loving  and being loved.  Loving  makes me feel good, being loved makes me feel even better.

 I would like to share some of my poems.  I'm not good with computers, but, with the help of my wife, Ruth, a true citizen of the twenty-first century, I have decided to start this blog.  I'm an old-fashioned person and have always loved my fountain pen and a nice empty piece of paper, but something tells me that I'm going to enjoy filling this page too.

​I would like bobbybloggs.com to be both an outlet for my poems and a medium for expressing my thoughts on poetry and on writing poetry.
